We tried something new this past weekend. We took Grandpa's boat to Grand Haven and stayed in a slip for the weekend. It was a little rough getting there (like 4 foot rollers) but we stayed at the marina which is sheltered around Dewey Hill in the channel. It was fun! No, Derek is not posing for the picture, he really was just laying in the sun reading!
Our Calvin friends, Chris and Holly, came along with us (and their little Yorkie). Derek also works with Chris and those two talked "boats" all weekend!
Mmm... scrambled eggs and blueberry pancakes. The blueberries are from our backyard (they're a little small and tart, but maple syrup makes up for that!)
Another beautiful sunset over Lake Michigan.Some of you are gone on your own adventures now; I can't WAIT to hear about (and see) Haiti, New Zealand, and Africa (sorry, I can't remember what country in Africa)!! Also, I'm so glad I got to talk to you Debbie! Thanks for the chat and the invite!
